Ingredients
• cornstarch, 3 tablespoons (divided)
• Low-sodium soy sauce, 1/2 cup
• 3 tablespoons of brown sugar in a bag
• 4 minced garlic cloves
• two tablespoons of freshly grated ginger
• Vegetable oil, 1 tablespoon
• 1 pound of sirloin, flank, or your preferred steak, thinly sliced into 1-inch pieces (I used sirloin steak)
• Broccoli florets, 4 cups
• 1 thinly sliced little onion
This is how to do it:
1. In a bowl, mix 3 tablespoons of water with 2 tablespoons of cornstarch. Then add the steak and set the mixture aside. 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger should be combined in a another bowl.
2. In a big skillet over medium-high heat, warm the oil. Don't overcrowd the pan as you add the meat to the pan after removing it from the cornstarch mixture. on both sides, brown. In two batches, I completed this. Take out onto a platter.
3. Add the onion and broccoli. Cook the broccoli until it's crisp-tender or till it's the way you like it. (Tip: Add a tablespoon of water to the broccoli to help steam it if you prefer softer broccoli.)
4. Reintroduce the beef and sauce to the skillet. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes while stirring constantly until sauce thickens.
